Important date

From May through September 1943, the Germans launched raids to seize the remainings Jews in Amsterdam. 29 September 1943, on the eve of Yom Kippur, the remnant of the Amsterdam community of about 2.000 Jews were taken to Westerbork. In total 104.000 Dutch Jews were killed during the Holocaust.
